'The Game Before The Game' is Beats' critically acclaimed World Cup campaign.
The finished campaign starred 13 famous international athletes and their
individual pre game rituals. My role was the overall design direction of all
retail, OOH and digital components, as well as creative lead for
all assets and information required for the global rollout.

Room is an art gallery based in the center of Auckland.
The starting point of the corporate design was the shape of
the tiles and industrial windows of the show rooms.
This square shape is picked up in the typeface, visual language and grid.

Malte Gruhl is currently working as Associate Design Director at R/GA London.
Previously, he worked in Berlin and New York for leading agencies
including Firstborn, MetaDesign and Razorfish. He was responsible for designing
and directing several award winning global campaigns. He has worked
for major brands including Audi, Beats, Hugo Boss, Google, Unilever and Samsung.
Additionally, he is also involved in branding assignments for start-ups
and projects in the cultural and art fields.

His work has been recognised by some of the most prestigious design and digital
awards such as Cannes Cyber Lions, Red Dot Award, Rebrand 100,
The German Design Council, New York Festival, Awwward, FWA and FWA Mobile.

His work has also been featured in several design publication
and since 2014 he has sat on the Awwwards judging panel.
